First, let me introduce myself. My name is Dennis Wilson and my family and I have lived in Colusa County for 45 years. I became involved in agriculture and farmed commercially for 24 years. Mostly, I farmed diversified row crops,rice and corn. My new website, www.farmconnectionsca.com, is a website platform for farmers to sell their used equipment to other farmers. After many conversations with farmers about current agricultural issues, I have decided to start an editorial blog where farmers will be invited to write editorials and respond in kind to current topics of interest.

I thought I would ease into this with a bi-weekly editorial. So, for my first real editorial I am asking Micheal Smith from Mogul Finance to write an article on tax benefits for the purchase of used and new equipment.
